Fantasy: Thursday night game “start ’em or sit ’em”

Kyle Kubiak

Thursday Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em

San Diego Chargers

Start ‘Em: Philip Rivers, Keenan Allen, Antonio Gates, Nick Novak

Sit ‘Em: Branden Oliver, Malcom Floyd, Eddie Royal, Ladarius Green, Chargers D/ST

Phillip Rivers should have a productive game, especially if the Chargers fall behind to the great Peyton Manning, and everyone else on his team, I guess. The Broncos are also the 10th-worst team in fantasy against passing offenses. Allen and Gates should be considered Rivers’ primary targets, especially in a big game like this and they are the most battle testes. Oliver is a sit due to the Broncos being the No. 3 in the NFL against the run. Many have believed Eddie Royal and Malcom Floyd are the shining stars, but I do not think the production will be there this week for a top WR start.

Denver Broncos

Start ‘Em: Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders,  Julius Thomas, Broncos D/ST and Wes Welker.

Sit ‘Em: Juwan Thompson, C.J. Anderson, Ronnie Hillman.

Pretty much anybody on the Broncos offense could be someone you could reason with me to say start, but these are probably your best bet. The Broncos are going to air it out and it’s practically guaranteed Peyton Manning throws a TD. It could also be a huge week for Manning as the short turn around could affect the Chargers D in a poor way even though they have been playing pretty well all year.
