Intruder in the White House

A man who jumped the fence at the White House and ran through the front door was found to be possessing deadly weapons. The weapons include a sniper rifle and a sawed-off shotgun.

Federal Prosecutors say that the armed man was posing a threat to President Obama. In an article from the “Washington Post”, Obama and his family had not been at the White House when the incident occurred. Since the incident, the White House has increased patrols and surveillance to ensure Obama and his family’s safety.

The intruder at the White House was Omar Gonzalez who was arrested and will remain in custody until October 1st. The weapons that Gonzalez had include a sniper rifle and a sawed-off shotgun.
