In the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series, the winning school of each head-to-head event is awarded points. Victory in football is worth three points, while all other sports and academics are worth two points each.

The soccer team defeated Iowa 2-1 earlier this year, giving Iowa State the 2-0 lead. After Iowa State’s comeback victory in Iowa City last weekend, the Cyclones now lead 5-0.

The volleyball team takes on Iowa on Sept. 20 to determine another step in the Cy-Hawk Rivalry. Iowa State has not lost to Iowa for the past eight-straight years.
