The top finishes began at the start of the day with a field event. ISU thrower Henry Kelley grabbed the team’s first points with a sixth place finish in the weight throw. His top mark was a 59-foot, one-quarter inch throw, making that a personal record.

Day two of action is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. with the men’s heptathlon and at 1:30 p.m. with the 60-meter hurdles final.

Kemboi will be attempting to win two crowns in back-to-back races, starting with the 1,000-meters that are set to start at 3:30 p.m.
