Another week, another Big 12 award for Iowa State.

ISU senior guard DeAndre Kane was named the Big 12 Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday. The award is the second consecutive for Kane and the sixth player of the week honor this season for the Cyclones.

Kane opened last week missing a triple-double by two rebounds in an Iowa State victory against Northern Illinois. The senior scored 16 points, dished out 12 assists and brought in eight rebounds in that win.

On Saturday, Kane scored 15 points and had six assists as the Cyclones opened Big 12 play with a win and tied the longest winning streak in program history at 13 game with a win against Texas Tech.

Iowa State has now won the award in six of nine weeks this season and set a new Big 12 record last week by having five players win the award in a season.

The No. 13 Cyclones return to the court to face No. 9 Baylor at 6 p.m. on  Tuesday at Hilton Coliseum. The game will air on ESPN2.
