ISU forward Dustin Hogue named Big 12 Player of the Week

The Big 12 Conference announced Monday that Iowa State’s Dustin Hogue has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week. 

Against Auburn on Dec. 2, Hogue tallied 22 points, making 8-of-10 shots and bringing in 16 rebounds to give him his second double-double of the season. He also threw in an assist and a block without committing any fouls in the 99-70 ISU win. 

Saturday in a 91-82 overtime win against Northern Iowa at Wells Fargo Arena, Hogue had a relatively quiet game, but still put up workman-like numbers, with 17 points and 14 rebounds. He made 4-of-7 shots and made 8-of-11 from the free throw line. 

During the two-game stretch, Hogue made 12-of-17 shots, tallied 39 points and racked up 30 rebounds in two wins.

No. 17 Iowa State plays No. 23 Iowa on Friday at Hilton Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m.
