Concerts over break

The holiday season is not known for yielding a large number of concerts. However, there are at least a few holiday concerts left and some smaller concerts in general. Here is a list of some of the more well-known performers that will be holding shows throughout Iowa over the break:
On Dec. 21, Bret Michaels will be playing at the Orpheum Theatre in Sioux City. Ticket prices range from $36.50 to $55.
Also on Dec. 21, the male a cappella quartet Tonic Sol-Fa will be playing at Hoyt Sherman Auditorium in Des Moines. Tickets range from $35.45 to $40.55 for adults, and from $29.85 to $35.45 for children 12 or younger. The group will also be playing the Orpheum Theatre in Sioux City on Dec. 22. Prices for this show range from $35 to $41.15 for adults and from $29.85 to $35.00 for kids 12 and under.
Mannheim Steamroller will be playing at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center in Cedar Falls on Dec. 21. This is a Christmas-based show, and ticket prices range from $48 to $78 for adults and from $39 to $78 for children.
Max Wellman will be at Wooly’s in Des Moines on Dec. 21 with his jazz-infused holiday show. Tickets range from $22 to $42 for all ages.
Eighties cover band, Hairball, will be playing the Sioux City Convention Center in Sioux City on Dec. 28. Tickets are $26.25 for all entrants. Hairball will also be playing the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa on Jan. 11. Tickets for this show are $25.80.
The Hit Men are a group of original hit makers from the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s from bands such as The Four Seasons and Tommy James and the Shondells. They will be at the Civic Center in Des Moines on Dec. 31. Ticket prices range from $23.00 to $88.00.
