Music for the Holidays

Amanda Stefanik

After a few years of listening to the same Micheal Buble Christmas album, even though it is an awesome album, it’s time to get a refreshing change to the classic Christmas playlist. Grab some headphones and prepare to make your commute through campus a bit more festive… and maybe a bit obscure.

A Very She & Him Christmas

This is a classic album that makes you want to snuggle in front of a fireplace with your honey along with a cup of hot chocolate. Zoey Deschanel and M. Ward hit the nail on the head with their melodic, ethereal versions of the classics that fill any room with the feelings of lazy holidays with family and friends. Be sure to put this album at the top of your list for albums to play on repeat during this winter season.

  Christmas With The Rat Pack

Frank, Sammy, and Dean… The classic guys that can make any girl’s heart melt. These guys come together to make a great compilation of their holiday tunes. Nostalgia can be some of the best parts of the holidays, so why not crank up the oldies and take a step back in time.

A Hit-Boy Christmas

This is a mix tape of… Christmas music? It is indeed Christmas music, just with a nice beat and a bit of an electric vibe running through. This could maybe be played as you are cruising down Welch Ave. on a late December night, or snowboarding with a Santa costume on. If you take the time to search for this tape online, you will get a kick out of this obscure Christmas music. It’s pretty catchy though, so watch out.
