A water main break at 20th Street and Grand Avenue will take all Wednesday to fix, a city of Ames news release stated Wednesday morning. 

The news release said the water main break has closed the intersection to east-west traffic. North-south traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction from 24th Street to 16th Street. 

Drivers should avoid the area if possible, the news release advised.
