Tanner Weatherman has earned Big 12 Wrestler of the Week, according to a news release.

Weatherman, a redshirt freshman 174-pounder, has won six of his last seven matches with his lone loss coming in the form of a 3-0 decision to then-No. 1 Chris Perry of Oklahoma State. Weatherman’s most recent win came in the form of a 13-3 major decision against Northern Iowa’s Cody Caldwell this past Friday.

Weatherman is the second Cyclone to earn the award. Kyven Gadson, a redshirt sophomore 197-pounder, is a three-time recipient of the honor.
