The ISU tennis team started its weekend in Florida off with a 4-3 victory against Stetson in Deland, Fla.

The team is 1-2 overall for the spring season but has yet to start its conference matches.

Simona Cacciuttolo won at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 finish. In singles, Ana Gaspovic (No. 4) and Emma Waites (No. 6) also won their matches against Stetson.

Ksenia Pronina lost in No. 2 singles in the third set finishing 6-4, 2-6, 3-6. No. 5 Jenna Langhost also lost at No. 5 for singles.

In doubles, Langhorst and Pronina had better results winning 9-7 in first doubles. Cacciuttolo and Caroline Anderson also won their doubles match 8-4. No. 3, Cassens and Waites lost their doubles to Stetson.

The Cyclones will continue play on Sunday in Ft. Myers, Fla., with a match against Florida Gulf Coast, which they played at the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational earlier this season.
