The ISU gymnastics team began its season with a win against Wisconsin-La Crosse on Sunday.

Iowa State (1-0) won the meet with a score of 191.525 and a win in each event against Wisconsin-LaCrosse (0-1), which finished the meet with a score of 184.225.

Sophomore Caitlin Brown won the all-around title with a score of 38.875. She tied freshman Sara Townsend for first place on vault and floor.

Junior Henrietta Green came in first on the uneven bars. Junior Milan Ivory won the beam in her first appearance after missing the 2012 season with an Achilles injury.

The Cyclones have another home meet against Kent State on Friday.
