Clyburn named Big 12 Rookie of the Week

ISU men’s basketball player Will Clyburn has been named Big 12 Rookie of the Week, the Big 12 announced today. 

Clyburn scored a career-high 32 points on Dec. 1 against BYU. He scored 22 of those in the first half while also finishing the game with five rebounds, two blocks and two steals.

This was the first time a Cyclone had scored more than 30 points since Jake Anderson did it in the Big 12 tournament in Colorado in 2011. 

At this point in the season, Clyburn is averaging 17.6 points per game, which is good for third in the Big 12. He’s also averaging 8.6 rebounds per game, which is second in the Big 12 behind Melvin Ejim, who’s averaging 8.9 per game.
