The Margaret Sloss Women’s Center will be hosting “Talk It Up Tuesday” from 12:20 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, in the Sloss House.

According to the Margaret Sloss Women’s Center website, “Every first Tuesday of the month the [Women’s Center] staff will be showing a short video clip with a discussion to follow. The video clips will address various feminist and social justice issues. ‘Talk It Up Tuesdays’ is intended to provide the ISU community with an informal and relaxed atmosphere where they can engage in awareness and discussion about issues concerning gender and social justice.”

This event is free and open to the public. The staff provides popcorn and plenty of seating. They encourage people who are interested to bring a friend or even to stop by with their lunch. This week, they will acknowledge Election Day by discussing politics as well as women’s issues.
