UPDATE: Rhoads expected to name starting quarterback Tuesday

A starting quarterback is expected to be named by Tuesday, Aug. 21, said ISU coach Paul Rhoads following his team’s final scrimmage of fall camp Saturday, Aug. 18.
The race for starting quarterback is currently deadlocked between Steele Jantz, Jared Barnett and Sam Richardson. Jantz and Barnett both split starts last season during the team’s 6-7 campaign that ended with a loss to Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl.
