The ISU men’s basketball team announced Friday that junior Tyler Ellerman has been added as a walk-on for the 2012-13 season.

Ellerman, listed at 6-feet-8-inches and 230 pounds, was a 2010 graduate of Dallas Center-Grimes, where he was a two-year starter. During his senior season, Ellerman was named Class 3A First-Team All-State, averaging 15.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. 

Ellerman is the second walk-on added by head coach Fred Hoiberg this summer. Earlier, freshman Cameron Fowler was added as a preferred walk-on. The 6-foot guard out of Detroit was a four-year starter at U-D Jesuit, where he averaged 17.2 points and 8 assists per game as a senior.

The Cyclones currently have 16 players listed on their roster for the upcoming 2012-13 season.
