Cyclones finish third at Lady Buckeye Invite

The ISU women’s golf team finished third at the Lady Buckeye Invitational in Columbus, Ohio, on Sunday.

Junior Punpaka Phuntumabamrung finished second individually in the event, shooting 77, 72 and 71 for a three-round score of 220. This was her second top-10 finish of the season.

Sophomore Prima Thammaraks was the next highest Cyclone to place, finishing tied for 17th with a three-round score of 233.

Iowa State went into the second day of competition in fourth place, but leapfrogged Northwestern by 14 strokes to finish third. Ohio State won the meet with a final score of 894.

The Cyclones compete at the Big 12 Championships in Lawrence, Kan., on April 27 to 29.
