The ISU swimming and diving team competed against Kansas on Friday and Saturday for the last time of the season in Beyer pool, winning the tightly contested meet 158-142. The win was the first conference victory for the Cyclones since 2003.

The day began with a victory for the Cyclones (5-3, 1-0 Big 12) in the 200 medley with the team of Dani Harris, Imelda Wistey, Sarah Norris and Amanda Paulson.

Paulson, a freshman, became the first Cyclone swimmer to go undefeated in an event in four seasons, going 8-0 in the 50 freestyle with her win in the event against the Jayhawks (5-5, 0-2).

Iowa State was swept in both the 800 freestyle and the 150 freestyle but roared back with a sweep of their own in the 50 yard backstroke.

The Cyclones were again swept in the 150 yard butterfly with all three top finishers all being Jayhawks.
