The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a dense fog advisory until 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

The advisory said that dense fog will continue across northwest and east central Iowa and reduce visibilites to less than a quarter of a mile in some places.

Light wind is expected to help keep the fog, which should gradually improve by 1-2 p.m.
