Romer Speaks on Economics

Christina Romer, chairwoman of the Council of Economic Advisers from January 2009 to September 2010 and current professor of economics at the University of California, Berkeley, was asked a series of questions following her lecture Thursday, Dec. 1, in the Grand Ballroom of the Memorial Union. Romer addressed contemporary economic conditions and the politics behind the world’s situation. For the future, “each one of us needs to look past the artificial attributes of our candidates, and to their ideas,” Romer said.
