Merchandising, and Design Department (ADM) here at Iowa State are
looking for models for the annual Textiles and Clothing Fashion
Show. The Fashion Show, which is a student run event, will be held
on April 14th, 2012 this year being it’s 30th
anniversary. In order to put on a successful show, the department
and coordinators of The Fashion Show are in need of student models.
In order to recruit models for the show, the directors hold open
tryouts each year. This year, tryouts will be held in Lebaron
Lounge on Monday the 14th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and
Thursday the 17th from 6p.m. to 9 p.m. The tryouts
themselves will be done in groups consisting of three to five
models who will walk in front of a panel of seven judges. Each
model gets the opportunity to walk individually and the whole
process lasts only a few minutes. Men and women of all shapes and
sizes are encouraged to try out and the only requirements of the
models are to be currently enrolled at Iowa State and be in good
academic standing. If selected, models are not only given the
experience to walk the runway in a fashion show, they also receive
one academic credit for the 2012 spring semester. To receive more
information about the tryouts visit The Fashion Show’s Modeling Try
Outs page on Facebook or email
