According to a press release from the City of Ames, Lincoln Way will be closed from State Street to Wilmoth Avenue until 7 p.m. because infrastructure was accidentally damaged during an ongoing construction project. 

“The incident is affecting emergency communications north of Story County and is causing sporadic communications outages with Ames school facilities,” according to the release. 

Westbound vehicles will detour off Lincoln Way south on State Avenue to Mortensen Road to South Dakota Avenue according to the release. Eastbound vehicles are encouraged to use North Franklin Avenue to West Street to North Hyland Avenue.
