ISU ranked second-best university to work for by employees

Iowa State University was ranked as
the second-best <a href=
“http://www.glassdoor.com/blog/glassdoor-reveals-universities-colleges-work/”
target=”_blank”>university to work for in the U.S., according
to a survey by <a href=
“http://www.glassdoor.com/index.htm”>glassdoor.com. The poll
surveyed readers and Glassdoor contributors.
Voters answered questions about the
University in 20 categories, and also assigned an overall rating on
a scale of one to five. ISU’s overall ranking was 4.1 — top honors
went to the University of Kansas with a score of 4.2.
“Lots of pride in working for a
great institution. Benefits have remained solid even through tough
economic/budgetary times,” was a comment from one survey-taker from
Iowa State.
Glassdoor is a career community that
allows people to anonymously post information about their
employers, ranging from salary information to office pictures. A
total of 34 ISU employees have ranked the university.
Outgoing president Gregory Geoffroy
received a 95 percent <a href=
“http://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Iowa-State-University-Reviews-E23963.htm”
target=”_blank”>approval rating, based on 21 votes.
