Copy editors are responsible for editing stories, headlines, photo captions and just about everything else with words that the Daily produces, whether it’s online or elsewhere. Responsible for knowing and apply AP and Daily style to those things, along with regular english grammar editing.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of AP, Daily style
• Apply those styles to stories, photo captions, headlines, etc.
• Check spelling of names and proper nouns
• Edit stories to make sure they read as clearly and simply as possible
