A 17-year-old female was taken into custody and charged with underage possession of alcohol. A 15-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at the intersection of Hayward Avenue and Little Street. Both were referred to Juvenile Court Services and then released to the care of a responsible adult (reported at 2:04 a.m.).

Officers were asked to check the welfare of a resident who was experiencing emotional difficulties at Frederiksen Court. The individual was located but refused any type of support services (reported at 2:45 a.m.).

Frederick Brown, 28, of Cedar Rapids, was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated at the intersection of Blankenburg Drive and Long Road. He was transported to the Story County Justice Center (reported at 4:19 a.m.).

A vehicle was towed after it was determined the driver had no insurance at the intersection of South 4th Street and Squaw Creek Drive (reported at 4:39 p.m.).

Daniel Knippel, 18, of 1509 Marston Ave., was arrested and charged with driving while barred at the intersection of Lincoln Way and University Boulevard. He was transported to the Story County Justice Center (reported at 10:19 p.m.).
