The Iowa State Soccer team kicked off the 2011 regular season with an away victory against Drake in Des Moines on Friday night.

Freshman Hayley Womack scored her first goal of the season to break the 0-0 tie in the second half and sophomore Brittany Morgan sealed the 2-0 victory her first goal of the season as well.

After a back-and-forth first half where both teams exchanged several corner kicks, Womack put the Cyclones on the board with a flick off a header from fellow freshman Addison Nokels in the 71st minute.

Just 13 minutes later, Morgan found the net from 18 yards out and sophomore goalkeeper Maddie Jobe preserved the shutout and recorded four saves on the night.
