The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Severe Thudnerstorm Warning until 4:15 a.m. Monday, July 11.

According to the warning a storm capable of producing quarter size hail and damaring winds in excess of 60 mph was located 11 miles southwest of Ames and moving east at 55 mph at 3:23 a.m.

This storm has also produced heavy rainfall. Flash flooding my occur.

Areas between mile markers 103 and 116 of Interstate Highway 35 are included in the warning.
