Regarding your thoughtful editorial: “Mexico’s cartels should be treated the same as terrorists organizations” (4-12-11).

I submit that it is high time to defund the Mexican drug cartels and thus put them out of business the same way we defunded the alcohol cartels and thus put them out of business in 1933.

All other efforts are a complete waste of time, money and lives.
