While some of the Cyclones were out west, freshman Katie Moen impressed spectators closer to home in Des Moines. Moen posted a time of 17:40:68 in the 5,000-meter run in the Jim Duncan Invitational.

She ran unattached as she took home her first ever 5K victory.

Senior Daniel Murray also had an impressive performance in the men’s 5,000-meter run. He finished third with a time of 15:09.48. Austin Brogan of Drake took first, finishing in 14:58.13.
