Closings and cancellations

The following events and/or businesses have been closed or canceled. This list may not be complete. Check with the business or event organizer before heading out. To be included in the list please e-mail your closing or cancellation to [email protected]
Wednesday, Feb. 3
University
- Classes are canceled until noon. The university remains open and all office will be open as usual. University employees “should carefully consider their local situations when deciding whether to travel to campus. Supervisors are urged to accommodate university employees who are unable to travel safely to campus,” according to a posting on www.iastate.edu.
Cancellations
- ECpE Graduate Student Seminar: The seminar “Realizability Aspects of Interconnected Systems and Design of Network Realizable Controllers” is postponed. It is rescheduled for Feb. 9.
- Admissions: No campus visits today
- Ag Career Fair: Postponed one day. Rescheduled for Thursday.
- “Black Faces of War” Lecture: Robert V. Morris’ “Black Faces of War” lecture has been rescheduled. Morris will speak at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7 in the South Ballroom of the Memorial Union
- Mock Interviews: Business Career Services’ Mock Interview Day has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 16.
Tuesday, Feb. 2
University
- Classes: Classes scheduled to start at 5 p.m. or later are canceled.
Cancellations
- M-Shop: Open mic night canceled
- The Horse Owners Seminar Series: Seminar on “High-Risk Pregnancy” is canceled.
- ISUtv: All shows for Feb. 1 are canceled.
- University Museums: Pictures Books for Children of all ages event at the Brunnier Art Museum is canceled. It is rescheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 8.
- Ames Racquet and Fitness: No group fitness classes
- Trend Magazine: Meeting canceled

- Rec Services: Lied Recreation Athletic Center and Beyer Hall facilites are closing at 10 p.m.
