Jessica Reis, 2004 ISU graduate with a degree in agricultural communications, was recently named Forage Solutions marketing manager of Vermeer Corporation.

In this position, Reis will be in charge of developing, coordinating and executing marketing communication initiatives for her division, Forage Solutions.

Vermeer is an equipment manufacturing company based in Pella. The corporation specializes in hay tools such as round balers, mowers, rakes and bale processors. It offers a variety of products for tree, construction, environmental and underground utility service work.

The company also makes biomass harvesting equipment used for renewable energy.

Vermeer has locations all over the world, including the Netherlands and Singapore. Last year, it earned the Governor’s Environmental Excellence Award, which recognizes leadership and innovation in managing natural resources.

Reis previously worked at Sunny Fresh Foods — now Cargill Kitchen Solutions — as a sales representative, Decision Commodities as a sales manager for the Iowa territory, and at Ag Leader Technology as a marketing communications specialist.
