David Jamison (R)

Jamison has been the treasurer of Story County since 1995.

He stressed investing and treasure managements “with a portion of [Iowans’] retirement funds and other investments remaining in-state to support economic development.”

He also wants to have an online database for all state bills to be paid online.

Michael Fitzgerald (D)

Fitzgerald was first elected State Treasurer of Iowa in 1982.

He invested more than $2 billion of state operating funds into the Great Iowa Treasure Hunt program as well as college saving programs, which also includes any unclaimed property.

He said he is working to better financial literacy among all people in Iowa.
