Earlier this week I posted an entry about the new Facebook plugins we had installed on the website. If you’ve explored the site, you may have noticed one of them isn’t functioning correctly. Don’t you just love technology?

The Facebook recommend button seems to think that more than 11,000, and growing — the number was 9,000 when I first discovered the problem — of you are recommending every article we post.

The button itself does work and allows you to recommend articles you like, and it still shows you when your friends recommend an article. 

The support team at TownNews, the company that provides the backend system for our website, is working on the issue and hopefully it’ll be fixed soon.

Until then, recommend the content you like and enjoy watching the number of people climb at a crazy, undetermined rate.
