Student groups plan homecoming activities for residence halls
October 20, 2010
Homecoming offers many ways for all types of students to get involved — not just those in the greek community. If you live in the residence halls, you have many options to get involved.
“To encourage involvement in Buchanan,” said Aaron Freland, Buchanan president, “we decided to form a homecoming committee, as part of the Buchanan Hall Association. All residents are invited to be on the committee and present various ideas at our BHA meetings.”
“Currently, we’re looking at participating in Victory Lane painting and various tournaments,” Freland said.
Other residence halls are having their own tournaments and competitions during the week. The ladies of Oak-Elm can look forward to Cyclone Tie-Dying, tailgating, door decorating and a house cheer competition to be judged by the men of Birch-Welch-Roberts. Oak-Elm will also be pairing up with BWR for a social event with music and s’mores.
To find out what your residence hall is doing, check with your hall desk or your hall president. You don’t want to miss out on this year’s Cyclone homecoming, so get involved.
