Where was the job: Dumfries, Scotland
1. How did you hear about the job? Did you attend the Career Fairs before finding it?
I contacted the Scottish Agricultural College looking for an internship on a dairy farm in Scotland because I was participating in a travel study course to the U.K. and the college offered me a spot on their research farm.

The fact that I was already going to be in the industry, and it was obvious that I was interested in learning from them.

Milking cows in the early mornings and listening to The Proclaimers while eating Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food ice cream.

Just being completely on my own in a foreign country was a lesson in and of itself.
5. What advice would you give to student job seekers?
Be aggressive in looking for jobs/internships that are of interest to you.
