Iowa State activated the ISU Alert system to announce that the university will be closed Thursday, Aug. 12 due to limited water service and the boil water order in effect for Ames.

A news release on the Iowa State website indicated that employees whose functions are considered essential to campus operations should report to work as usual. Supervisors are being asked to contact essential personnel as soon as possible.
