Streaking Cyclones renew rivalry with Iowa

Two in-state rivals, the Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State, will duke it out Tuesday for bragging rights.
Tuesday’s game will take place in Iowa City, Iowa, at Bob Pearl Field. The Hawkeyes have won seven out of the last 10 matchups that have been played in Iowa City.
Iowa has a record of 15-18 (1-8 Big Ten) so far this season, and Iowa State has a record of 22-15 (1-5 Big 12).
The Hawkeyes have lost their last eight games; meanwhile, the Cyclones have won five of their last seven.
Tuesday’s matchup will be the 80th game played between Iowa and Iowa State. Iowa State holds the series lead with a record of 41-36-2 against the Hawkeyes.
In their last 10 meetings, the Cyclones have won five games, the Hawkeyes have won four and one game resulted in a tie.
The Hawkeyes are currently in a rough patch as they have only won one of their last 10 games.
Despite their losing record, the Hawkeye have two notable wins against the Purdue Boilermakers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
