The city of Ames and the American Red Cross are delivering water to Ames residents who meet certain criteria.

Residents wanting water delivered must meet one of the following requirements according to a news release issued by the city:

• They are on Social Security Disability, Social Security Supplemental Security Income or Veteran’s Affairs Disability
• Have a doctor’s statement or a case worker’s name
• Are 75 years old or older

Anyone meeting the criteria and wanting water delivered is asked to call Diane Voss at 515-239- 5105.

Residents who do not meet the criteria still are able to pick up water at one of four distribution points across the city from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
