Jobs and Economic Development: Several states have requirements that a portion of all the state’s investments go to in-state economic development, according to Jamison’s website. Jamison hopes to see a similar program enacted in Iowa.

Education: Jamison’s website proposes a slight change to the College Savings Iowa program. Currently, investments for the program are made through the Vanguard Group, based in Pennsylvania. Jamison proposes giving companies based in Iowa a chance to compete.
Background: Jamison is a lifelong Iowa resident, aside from five years spent in the Marine Corps. He graduated from Iowa State with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Jamison has been the treasurer of Story County since 1995.
