An Ames woman was arrested May 14 after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend Friday night.

Police arrived at 9:05 p.m at 4130 Lincoln Swing, Lot 6 in west Ames. Upon arrival the police found Eric Lamar Donald Jr. with a stab wound in one of his arms.

The suspect of the assault was identified as Leola Shante Beasley. Beasley and Donald lived together at the residence.

Leola Shante Beasley, 21, turned herself into police several hours after the incident.

Beasely was charged with willful injury, which is a Class D felony and was taken to the Story County Jail. She is being held on a $5,000 bond.

Donald was treated for his wound and released from Mary Greeley Medical Center.
