From the Top, the weekly National Public Radio show featuring young classical musicians, will be recording live at Fisher Theater tonight.

Tonight’s show, hosted by acclaimed pianist Christopher O’Riley, will feature Iowans on oboe and violin. Bryanne Presley, oboist, is a senior at Nevada high school, and Caroline Weeks, violinist, is a senior at Roosevelt high school. Both also perform in the Des Moines Youth Symphony.

The performance tonight will also feature young musicians from around the world.

From the Top, now in its 10th year, is broadcast on nearly 250 stations each week, including Iowa Public Radio.  Tonight’s performance will be broadcast on June 19 at 4 p.m.
