Apparently our English classes here at Iowa State have done a very poor job of teaching satire.

I was embarrassed to read the multiple letters to the editor where the writer believed that Trevor Boeckmann’s article was actually attacking interracial marriage using outdated arguments, similar to what is happening with gay marriage today.

Hopefully these students will reread the article and understand it’s importance.
