Reserve forward L.A. Pomlee has been dismissed from the ISU basketball team, coach Greg McDermott announced Friday in a news release.

The release said that that Pomlee had been dismissed for “multiple violations of team rules,” although the violations were not disclosed.

“We appreciate L.A.’s contributions to the program over the last year,” McDermott said in the release. “My staff and I will continue to support him in any way possible and wish him nothing but the best in the future.”

Pomlee, a redshirt freshman and a Davenport, Iowa, native, has played in parts of just eight games this year, averaging 0.9 points and 1.1 rebounds per game. Pomlee sat out his initial college season.
