LETTERS: Send supplies, not soldiers
November 30, 2009
Many, if not most, Americans are opposed to sending more troops to prop up a corrupt government in Afghanistan, instead of seeking a political settlement there. Afghans need schools and food, not more soldiers and more blood spilled. No one can afford this.
Now is the time to oppose sending more troops by demanding that Congress refuse to fund this outrage.
Please join us at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon for a peace vigil at Lincoln Way and Welch Avenue. Show your support for ending the war in Afghanistan.
