LETTERS: ‘Sweeney Todd’ impresses crowd

Last night, I attended the opening show of the ISU Theatre production of “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” The cast, crew and band did a phenomenal job and I cannot praise them enough. I am so impressed by the caliber of professionalism and entertainment by a college theater; I wish I would have attended more performances at Fisher Theater when I was a student here.

This was one of the most outstanding ensemble casts of any performance anywhere that I have seen in recent years, so a big kudos to everyone involved. Also, a special recognition for the two lead roles of Sweeney, Chris Ebke, and Mrs. Lovett, Nicole Conetzkey, both of whom were played with haunting precision. ISU peers, if you did not catch the Thursday show, I hope you caught another show.

The show was well worthwhile.
