November 3, 2009
Ann Campbell will serve her second term as mayor after she was re-elected last night in city elections.
Campbell, who moved to Ames in 1967 and has served as mayor for the last 3 years, was unopposed in the election. She took 95 percent of the vote.
In a previous interview with the Daily, Campbell said she has been working with the university on revitalizing Campustown and was part of creating a proposal for federal stimulus money to build an intermodal transportation hub in the area.
Campbell could not be reached for further comment before press time Tuesday.
