The Ames Public Works department plans to reopen the intersection of Lincoln Way and Kellogg Avenue on Thursday. Repair work to broken storm and sanitary sewers on Lincoln Way near Kellogg Avenue has taken longer than anticipated due to the extent of the damage, according to a press release from Susan Gwiasda, public relations officer for the City Manager’s Office.

Currently no traffic is allowed through the Kellogg Avenue intersection.

Northbound traffic on South Duff Avenue has been rerouted from South Third Street to Grand Avenue. Southbound traffic on U.S. 69 has been detoured from Grand Avenue to South Fourth Street to South Duff Avenue.
