Unofficial results from the Ames City Council elections show that Tom Wacha has defeated incumbent Dan Rice in Ward 1 and Peter Orazem will be the new at-large member.

Because no candidate for Ward 3 recieved a majority of the votes, a runoff election will be held on Dec. 1 between Jeremy Davis and incumbent Ryan Doll.
