Competition allows students to pitch business proposals

The Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship has announced the 2010 New Venture Business Plan Competition, a contest for Iowa college and university students who have interest in starting their own businesses. The submitted business plans will be judged on content and viability, with the top three submissions each receiving a $5,000 grant.

The Pappajohn Center will hold three informational sessions for those interested in participating or looking for guidance. All sessions will be held at the center’s office, at 2501 N. Loop Drive unit 1615. The sessions will be held Nov. 11, 3:30 – 5 p.m., Dec. 4, 3:30 – 5 p.m., Jan. 15, 3:30 – 5 p.m.

Students interested in participating need to submit an intent form by Dec. 1. The business plan is due Jan. 28. Contact Judi Eyles with questions at [email protected].
