Pop rock bands The Higher and Quietdrive will perform at Zeke’s, 3329 Lincoln Way, on Nov. 16.

The Minnesota band Quietdrive is best known for its cover of Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” in 2006, and it released its new album “Close Your Eyes” last Tuesday. The Higher, from Las Vegas, also released a new album earlier this year.

Opening the show is an on-the-rise Minnesota act named Take Cover. Quietdrive recorded its new album with Jordan Schmidt, who has also done all of Take Cover’s material thus far.

Zeke’s opened a couple years ago, but it didn’t start actively booking shows until the summer of 2009.
